Brigitte is a registered architect in Massachusetts, California, and Berlin, Germany where she got first licensed in 1997.
She has many years of experience in residential and commercial design, successfully helping clients to bring their imagined ideas to execution.

Maria holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Houston and a Master of Architecture from McGill University, Canada.
Her prior work experience is with established architect firms based in New York City, Houston, Texas, and Cambridge, Massachusetts. She designed and managed high end contemporary residential and commercial projects as well as historic renovations.

Originally from Germany, she managed projects for an internationally operating Architects & Engineering consulting firm, master planned large scale urban design as well as public transportation projects.
She founded steines architecture in 2007 in California, after designing commercial projects for several years for a San Francisco bay area firm.

Her emphasis lays on unique and individually, client oriented solutions, which are sophisticated, sustainable and budget oriented. All her design shows timeless, yet modern features with attention to detail.
She is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. (NCARB) and LEED AP Homes accredited by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). She is an active member of the Boston Society of Architects, and the American Institute of Architects. (AIA)

Locally she is an appointed member of Lexington's Design Advisory Committee.

Her executed work is very detail oriented, No matter if small or large scale. Dedicated to modern design she explores materials, color and products to create designs that reflects the owner’s personalities and lifestyle. She strives to design spaces that are beautiful, functional and can grow and change with the inhabitants, as their lives and needs change.
She brings strong presentation, graphic design and 3D modeling skills to every project.
Maria is LEED GA certified and is a registered architect in Bulgaria. Prior to her architectural education she studied Law at the University of Sofia, Bulgaria.
